How to make tomato puree without preservatives

 


Today we will tell you how do you make tomato puree for long storage. It is very easy to prepare and you can use it anytime. It is free of preservatives so it is also totally healthy and safe.

Ingredients 

  1. 1Kg tomatoes
  2. 2tbs Lemon juice 

Tomato puree recipe for storage

Wash the tomatoes and cut them in small pieces.

In blender, add tomatoes, blend it well and strain with a strainer in a pot.

Turn the flame on and cook these blended tomatoes on low flame until thickens. Keep stirring it in between. It will take maximum 35 minutes. 

After 35 minutes, add lemon juice, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.

Remove it from flame and let it cool down.

Your tomato puree is ready.

Pour it in a tight jar and you can store it for two weeks.

What can I use tomato puree for?

You can use it in curry, spaghetti, macaroni, pasta etc. Making tomato puree in advance will make it easy for you to cook anything in less time.

How long does homemade tomato puree last?

You can keep tomato puree in a tight container or jar for 2 weeks or pour the puree in a ice cube container and you can store it in freezer for 6 months.
