Ingredients
- 2 cup water
- 2tbsp green tea leaves
- 1tsp fennel seeds
- 1/2 tsp cardamon powder
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1tsp sugar
- 1tsp pink colour
Kashmiri chai recipe
In a pot add water, green tea leaves, fennel seeds, cardamon powder and boil it until half of the water is evaporated.
Then strain it and your kashmiri kehwa is ready. Keep it aside.
In another pot add milk and let it boil. When it starts boiling add the kashmiri kehwa you prepared before, then add sugar and mix well. Let it boil for 1 minute and then add pink colour and again boil it for one minute. Garnish it with some crushed almonds.
If you don't want to add artificial colouring, then add bicarbonate soda while making kehwa of kashmiri chaye, but I don't prefer that method.
It's better to add pink colour, it will give a more beautiful look and adding bicarbonate soda is not much healthy.
