Purple peacock cichlid  also known as Aulonocara stuartgranti comes from the species of haplochromine cichlid that is indigenous to Lake Malawi. Purple peacock cichlid is one of the popular fish species nowadays. They are also one of the most belligerent cichlids, so they need special care and attention if you want to keep them as your pet.
